Elizabeth Cronin
Counsel and Vice President – State AffairsLiz Cronin joins ADS with a rich background in law and public policy. Prior to law school, Liz worked in development for the American Diabetes Association where she coordinated America's Walk for Diabetes, and then moved to the Massachusetts State House as the Legislative and Budget Director for Senator Robert A. Antonioni, Chair of the Joint Committee on Education. In this capacity, Liz drafted, filed, and tracked legislation, and coordinated the office's annual budget efforts. She was also the Senator's liaison for all judiciary, health and human services, special education, and early education matters before the Senate.
As a Rappaport Fellow for Law and Public Policy with the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security, Liz assisted the General Counsel's office with case research and statutory and regulatory drafting. Of particular note, she researched and assisted in drafting a position statement before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination in defense of the agency, and drafted Executive Order 522, which established the Juvenile Justice Advisory Committee in the Commonwealth. Liz served most recently as a law clerk to an insurance defense and admiralty law firm in Boston, where she assisted in all phases of litigation.
Liz attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa in 2003 with a degree in Political Science, and is a 2010 graduate of Suffolk University Law School, where she was a member of the Moot Court Honor Board and the Health and Biomedical Law Society. She is licensed to practice law in Massachusetts and Illinois and is a member of the Boston Bar Association.
