Case Studies |
A worldwide technology leader sought, as part of its corporate mission, to work locally toward building 21st century
digital literacy skills among children in grades K-12. ADS helped the organization's leadership frame the mission in terms of local value and build relationships with key decision makers at the state and local level. In response, the MA State Legislature created a special commission to study education technology.
Outcomes thus far include full implementation of one-to-one student laptop pilots in Boston and the Berkshires.
ADS worked with a small defense subcontractor to foster relationships with key members of Congress, based upon their
constituency and their positions on the Appropriations and Armed Services Committees. With ADS guidance,
the organization has leveraged those relationships to increase its value as a partner with major defense contractors.
A company specializing in corporate recapitalization acquired a major employer and manufacturer of high performance
textiles to the U.S. military. ADS oversaw and implemented all strategic communications for the company's successful
emergence from its acquisition, including message management with local and national press,
vendors, employees and labor unions, government and development partners, and elected officials.
The outdoor industry's recognized leader in on-the-move, individual water purification equipment
came to ADS seeking a strategy to enter new markets. ADS identified a critical military need for transportable water
purification, advised the company in adapting their technology to meet that need, worked with the U.S. Congress to secure
funding for the military product development, and then worked with the U.S. Marines to ensure timely fielding of the finished product.
The company's militarized water purifier is now issued to every U.S. Marine operating in Iraq and Afghanistan, allowing soldiers in combat to drink any water anywhere.
